Every night, FishPredict analyses ocean data to help you identify the most favourable sea fishing areas for fish presence.

Several signals are factored in to estimate species activity:

Why some areas are more active

At sea, fish don't distribute at random. Some areas concentrate more life depending on ocean conditions.

Currents, biological activity, temperature fronts or seabed structure directly influence species presence. FishPredict analyses these signals to identify the areas most favourable to fish activity.

Fishing areas covered

FishPredict currently covers the Bay of Biscay, with particularly fine precision over the historic sector from Soulac-sur-Mer to Île de Ré, where the tool was first developed and validated.

The analysis is tailored to this sector to identify the most favourable sea fishing areas around your navigation zone.

New areas are planned soon, including the English Channel and the Mediterranean.

Species tracked by FishPredict

Every night, FishPredict calculates a presence-probability score for several target species, tailored to each one's behaviour and preferences.

The algorithm also relies on the presence of baitfish (anchovy, sardine, mackerel...) to fine-tune its predictions for target predators.
